I am excited to continue as your Veteran Branch Service Officer.
I have first-hand experience with the Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) system along with other veteran and first-responder services and supports.
I have a great rapport with the Veterans Service Bureau at Command and the Command Service Officers.
I have been able to successfully help veterans apply for and receive VAC benefits and programs for injuries suffered in their service.
I know what it's like to discount oneself as a deserving veteran. It was through a professional service officer that I embraced my status as a veteran, and that of one deserving help.
I am excited to be able to offer connections for veterans, first responders, and their families to supports such as OSI-CAN, Wayfinders Wellness Society, and Alberta Recoil.
I look forward to working with the Executive, with and for you, our members, and other veterans in our community.
Please don't hesitate to contact me and I will do my very best to link you to any support you may need.
Comrade Dave McKay, CD
Veteran Branch Service Officer
